I feel like there's preferential treatment given to liaisons, the remote workers who do referral marketing. High stress when new patient volume is a major issue for clients (especially clients who aren't familiar with timelines to establish referral relationships and/or seo)

Amazing opportunity to learn about all aspects of marketing a medical practice

I came in as a physician liaison, but because the company offers SEO, advertising, website design, recruiting, and everything else, I learned about all of that too. It really gave me perspective on what doctors and dentists need in their office.
|
Long hours are sometimes necessary for physician liaison work to be successful, and there are times (particularly in the winter) when I'd rather not be on the road but have to be for the job.

Pros: unique and fast growing niche, involved leadership, employee freedom to contribute and effect change in the company, promotions and large pay increases regular after 90 days. Strong culture of innovation and contribution. Commitment to growth, and rewards for those who increase overall revenue. Great way to manage your work-life balance; I started out as a part time physician liaison to test the waters in my area, and moved into full time when my kids went back to school. As a field rep, I feel like my weekly recap meetings with my manager are just enough to keep everyone in the loop, while allowing me the freedom to get the job done without the added burden of constant micromanagement and having to commute to an office every day.

Young company so they're still working out the kinks on reporting time, communications, and managing physician liaisons in the field. Some people will be nervous about the physician liaison time reporting mechanism- you text message when you arrive at your first physician meeting, and it time stamps and geolocates into a report for your manager. I personally think that's pretty neat, since it eliminates paperwork for me- however, I can see how others might be paranoid that it could be used intrusively.
