Working with a smart and talented team of professionals. Everybody is friendly, professional and gets it done. Great work-life balance - a minimum of last minute rushes and unreasonable deadlines. Work remotely when you need to. Great office in an historic building. Its a startup try to revolutionize commercial real estate lending and with that comes a certain amount of uncertainty. Your input is requested and appreciated. No egos or corporate agenda. Dynamic, collaborative, and fast-paced environment. You face new challenges every day with no chartered path. If something does not work, own it and try differently. But you are able to put your skills and what you've learned to work like never before. If you need much guidance or a handbook to look things up, this might not a good place for you. You will have to establish best-practice procedures over time. Structures are still in flux and you will have to define them. I love working here for a number of reasons. The current team is very impressive and brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the workplace each day and everyone comes from different backgrounds which makes for a great mix. The company is in a sector (fintech) that is still very raw and is in the process of transforming the way financial services are delivered. Lots of room for advancement,and ability to shape the direction of the company and its various departments/initiatives. It is an early stage company so you need to have a roll up the sleeves and get it done attitude and dive in to help in areas where you may not have a ton of prior experience. A lot of twists and turns and changes in directions which is to be expected given the stage of Plum's life cycle.
