Poll Everywhere transforms presentations into conversations. Presenters create interactive questions, word clouds, discussions, and competitions and the audience responds using their mobile devices. Audiences see their participation instantly on screen. Since debuting in 2008, Poll Everywhere has grown to support over 75% of the Fortune 500, 100% of all R1 research universities, as well as hundreds of thousands of other presenters worldwide. We are healthy, profitable, and organically grown in the heart of San Francisco with one third of our company working remotely.
Presenters use Poll Everywhere at their most vulnerable moments: in front of a live audience. Our design team is fundamentally changing the way people think about presentations by making them interactive conversations.
What you'll do
As our Design Manager, you are the leader of a strong team of 4-5 product & visual designers. You are passionate about the power of conversation in a world where giving a presentation means talking at people. You have a proven track record of leading a design team towards product and branding objectives and would be described by people on your team as humble, data-driven, curious, and collaborative.
You thrive on interdisciplinary teams and can pose high-level strategic questions and guide research at all stages of the product life cycle. You can see the uncertainties that slow teams down and help surface questions people didn’t even know they had.
Your design philosophy is one that rejects “design is how something looks” and instead embraces “design is how something works and how it makes people feel”. You apply this to all facets of the customer experience including how a person feels about our brand when they land on PollEverywhere.com to how the interaction between a presenter and the audience works down to the tiniest details, including how the software works.
You can get a pretty good idea of how our design team currently works by reading the Design section of our Playbook.
Join us and redefine how people interact, rather than just present.

You thrive on autonomy and making your own goals. You will be our second product manager, leading 2-3 teams of developers and designers to specify and complete the most important projects for Poll Everywhere’s future. Which projects are most important? Since you'll be running the planning process, how we make that decision is up to you.
We’re sitting on mountains of data and we need a Product Manager who can properly distill it into product decisions that tie to business and strategy. You are a systems thinker that uses data to measure success, and can define and analyze the metrics to tell us what strategy or feature is important to focus on next. You’re also capable of moving quickly, and know when to conduct extensive analysis and when to go with your gut to make a call quickly.
Poll Everywhere is in the midst of transitioning into a unified user experience across multiple devices, platforms, etc. When it’s all said and done, people will be able to use or install Poll Everywhere on their device, login without their account, and immediately be productive. Today Poll Everywhere is mostly accessible via desktop browser. Ideally you have an eye for quality, design, consistency, and details needed to roll out a compelling cross-platform experience.

Poll Everywhere is seeking an experienced finance leader to take our financial infrastructure and FP&A capabilities to the next level. This is a hands-on role that will help shape our future.
Poll Everywhere is a healthy, profitable, and organically-grown company located in the heart of San Francisco. We’ve been proudly bootstrapped for more than a decade and in this role, you will be responsible for helping usher in the next plateau of growth. As a company we value data, authenticity, autonomy, care in your work and interactions, and a growth mindset.
Our clients range from individual educators looking to engage their students, to flagship companies such as Google, TED, Starbucks, and more. These people put their trust in us when they go on stage, and we're both humbled and driven by that commitment. It's at the heart of everything we do.
