My boss was literally one of the most intelligent, kindest and thoughtful people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. She was just starting up the franchise in this location and from the moment I met her I knew she would succeed. Very self-motivated and involved. She will absolutely go the extra mile for her clients and for her employees. When training with her for the Assessment Coordinator position we would have little 1:1 meetings that were extremely helpful. They want to make sure you know what you're doing through and through. They dont care about there aids. I worked every day for 2 1/2 months straight. They don't appreciate there aids. Not a good company. They singled me out from all of the other aids. I would go above and beyond for my clients. More empathy toward caregivers and their needs. May have to drive long distances for few hours, but will find hours near you, if available. More direct support to clients and caregivesrs. I had intentions of becoming a registered nurse at the time. I highly recommend this to somebody that needs a company with a flexible schedule opportunity. They are the sweetest people in the company. I definitely loved the company over all and would recommend to anybody that's looking to be a PCA. Only down side was there weren't health benefits or benefits generally with the company that I knew of at the time I was employed. I do think it would be a great part-time or even full-time work environment. This incident set the precedent for my time with the company. Everything was unorganized and the owner would harass me to work at the last minute. One day I would work 12-15 hours than I would be off for the week. It was very inconsistent. I was hired as a Supervisor. Although my employment was short, I expected to learn something about my job. All I did was be a caregiver! Also, when my check was short some hours, I was made to wait for my missing money on my next check. I explained that I desperately needed that money to put gas in my car to work, and was told no I still have to wait. Fortunately I had a company interested in for a management position for more money.
