Nice place with terrible management.

Bartells can be a good place to work, but it’s entirely dependent on what manager you’re working under. Upper management is always terrible but middle management can be good if you get a manager who has worked there for awhile.

Good but has downsides.

The coworkers act as a family but the shoplifters ruin it for everyone. Paying customers get rightfully irritated by shoplifters and place there complaints on cashiers. The "higher-ups" know of this yet do nothing to help.

As a company, Bartells is not what it used to be after Rite Aid bought them out. Rite Aid gives very little PTO, has expensive health insurance and doesn’t show employee appreciation.
