Compared to what I've been working at before getting a job at claires, it's much less stressful and I don't feel like I'm constantly doing the wrong things.

Leaving staff nice. Management poor and pay poor.

Travelling whilst not yet able to drive as too young.

Not great, management take advantage and are not very compassionate.

Generally kept busy. Store very packed with stock and people. Quite a close proximity role.

Overworked and stressed constantly

After the first 2 weeks to month expect yo start running shifts completely alone. Low coverage and high turnover at most of the stores, I passed out on a shift after being called in too soon after have bronchitis. Poor management, poor pay for what you’re actually doing.

Working at Claire’s is by far the most insane job experience I’ve ever had.
We have go through store managers like crazy and I don’t blame them because the district manager is the absolute worst to work under.
You could not pay me enough to be a store manager.
It’s constant passive aggressiveness. Emails every single day where half of the email is just putting down each store and store manager.
If that many stores are having a constant issue with productivity… what’s the common denominator ? The district manager.
You get maybe a couple days of training and they leave you to fend for yourself.
The things they require for how little they pay are way out of proportion.

Fast paced and fun

My time with Claire's was mixed. The part time managers and sales are young and are still learning life skills. So covering their shifts and disrupting your days off was pretty normal. The manager is really nice and has to deal with some pretty awful people. She was always willing to work around my school schedule. You work alone alot, but if you keep busy your day goes fast.
