Horrible work, life balance. Very stressful. Typical mall job with terrible hours. co-works were mostly fun. I don't know how much more I can say. If you like typical retail it might be ok.

Fun, creative job
|
Working as a teacher/instructor at Gymboree was not only fun but also rewarding. Getting to interact with the children and watching them grow was always the best part of the day. Job growth wise, there wasn’t much. You could either be a teacher or shoot for a management position at one of the their locations.

Great Parttime work for Mom

I enjoyed the customers and co workers. Management was very supportive and contributed to a nice culture more than anything. Great leadership is key, but that starts at the top. Very happy with my time working there.

Stressful work environment
|
Working in this type of job is fine if you are a college student, like kids, and need extra cash. It is a stepping stone. Unless you want to open your own franchise, it isn't a career that you can depend on and live comfortably. I wouldn't recommend it to be honest because they expect a lot for little pay.

Easy product to sell

At Gymboree, the product is so great, it sells itself. Amazing quality, fun colors and prints. Pricey but worth it and easy to convince customers. Never had a problem with management. Was not a fan of the hours but it’s to be expected in any retail job. The discount is great!

Fun place to work!

I taught at Gymboree Play & Music in two different Texas locations for 10 years. Absolutely loved working and meeting the children and families. If you love children, this is a wonderful place. As a Teacher, it is also helpful to receive biweekly corporate developed teaching lessons by a team of professional educators. Gymboree is an excellent learning playground for total child development beginning at birth.
