Maybe the insurance, Maybe the on-location apartment (If you’re fine with quarterly walkthroughs of your house.)

Pay isn’t even enough to support a single person, the higher ups are out of tune with reality and blinded by how much money they squeeze out of already struggling ppl. They say they care about work life balance, they don’t. They expect you to be a one man circus performer but are not willing to pay you for all of the acts performed. All in all this company is garbage. Working in storage could be great, but I’d suggest family owned rather than corp.

Work orders after acquisitions come to a complete halt, be lucky if you can get major work approved to get fixed. A select few wind up having to cover more than one store and still maintain your property. Work your butt off for little pay and the new hires are likely getting paid more than you. Senority and hard work, mean almost nothing. And don't be surprised if you wind up doing your boss's job. You WILL get burnt out.

The actuall work is not too bad. A lot of computer stuff, some cleaning, dealing with some tenants face to face. But mostly keeping to yourself all day long.

You do work by yourself on the property all day long. They expect the property to be perfect every day. I have the biggest property in ohio and don't get the help that I need. I am new to the position and I'm expected to clean up after the previous property manager that did not get things taken care of before me. KPIs do suck. I can't make someone sign up for autopay, I can't make someone buy supplies from us, I can't make people pay their bills either.

If you like working alone and getting screamed at all day for things that are completely out of your control and the company doesn't care about.

The company doesn't care about it's customers or employees, AT ALL! They make you recite this nonsense that they have: Integrity, Humility, Compassion, and Accountability. All of it is complete garbage. I've never seen a company that showed none of those values more than istorage. They also don't give bonuses, so right there, you should get a job with ANY other storage company. The pay is low! They can't hire or keep any employees because of how crummy of a job it is. They have to constantly keep stores closed, when scheduled open, because they have so few employees. Also, don't be surprised if you run multiple stores, completely by yourself, and only get paid for running one. But they will scream at you if everything isn't getting 100% done. This despite the fact that you spend your day driving back and forth putting on and taking off overlocks. They also don't want to put any money into their facilities. But hey, maybe you like low pay and doing tons of unpaid work while getting screamed at by everyone.
