There always room for advancement here, although it does take time. Vacation and Sick time build faster than most companies and no argument when you want to take them. The job culture is great within the store. Team work is strongly pushed and everyone is very productive together. The pay rate is fair for the work. Benefits are offered to all full time employees and part time after a year. There are many positives for this job.

Getting pay or position changes is extremely difficult and the company doesn’t seem to care about COVID all that much and wouldn’t recommend trying to work there during the pandemic.

I really want to like this job, but I don't.
|
Here are just some of my grievances:
- We're constantly understaffed
- A small team has to pick up the taxing labor that a larger team should be handling most of the time
- We are grossly underpaid for the work we do and they refuse to give raises. When they do give raises due to promotions they're insignificant.
- Corporate is useless
- They value their customers and contractors so much that they'll put the employees in uncomfortable and sometimes dangerous situations to protect their profits.
- They EXPECT you to go above and beyond and if you don't break your back for them you're a problem.
I really like a lot of the employees and leads from all over the district but overall the culture is unpleasant.

I don't wish to say much about this company. It made it possible for me to pay my bills for the time I was there. They gave me 30 days notice of my lay off and they gave me compensation.

I would not recommend working here. This is a very physical job, heavy lifting and standing on your feet all day on concrete floors. This job requires a lot of knowledge about paint and related products. It takes a long time to learn this job and the turnover is very high. low number of people looking to work here and the stores are open 7 days a week which means you will be working on weekends. If you do stick it out you will be offered a management position within 18 month guaranteed.
