All too often, I was treated like a slave more than a proper person. Some jobs were a bit rough and equipment to handle it was subpar, at best. The lack of support from even the lowest members of management proved to be a great consternation and, while payment was predictable, there were times where it felt that I was under-compensated for the work I performed. Friendly bakery staff, reasonably priced merchandise. Tops friendly markets is a unionized job. They take more money every week for union dues than I make in an hour. This union does not seem to benefit employees, especially part time. You will be scheduled just under full time so that you dont receive benefits. Customer mask wearing is not enforced by management during this pandemic and employees do not receive any kind of discount working there even though the prices at Tops are much more inflated than other stores. Tops does not care about their employees and have no problem keeping their employees in poverty.
