Can be very stressful but the people you work with make a difference. Benefits are great and there is room for advancement it just sucks you have to pass so many interviews and if you freeze up or are bad at them, you don’t get the job even if you clearly are the best choice. So just need to cut down in some of the red tape. I say that as a manager who wanted to promote people and couldn’t because HR wouldn’t let me based on responses to questions. You will be expected to work long and hard hours, and during holidays and weekends (I work nearly every weekend unless I request off. Holidays are the luck-of-the-draw.) I would say I am compensated fairly well for my salary, but not proportionately to the amount of work and expectations. However the benefits are better than any retailer that I have ever had the displeasure of working for. Understaffed departments and stressed out employees. Management has become less hands on however manage to micromanage at the same time. Employees don’t feel appreciated or valued at times.
