It was okay at first, especially making a ton of money off upselling equipment to customers.
|
There was a lot of bait and switch involved as well for new customers. It felt immoral, especially for someone that was in the service.

You get to meet new people and if you like to help people then you definitely get that chance here.
When the pay is good tthen it's good just make sure you save some for the bad times.
You get paid for the miles you drive (in my case it is 5,000 miles a month)
Corperate management is really decent, everyone at that level will do what they can to help but they are a little clueless as to what happens each day.

I regularly worked 12-16 hours a day (no hourly pay) and that's ok if you don't have a family. There is no time for family, children, fitness or a social life.
The turnover rated is insanely high. I've had 7 managers (2 good and 5 bad) and I see about 30 or more guys go through each year.
It's high pressure sales with a bait-and-switch method to get us in the door. You must sell $1200 in extra equipment when the customers ad says all equipment is free.
If I could talk to myself when I applied for this job I would have told myself to keep looking.
Installation is only 10% of the job it's 85% sales, I love sales but they setg up your job by telling them it's all free.

Incredibly long hours, horrible experience with Management, very misleading. They write you up for anything. They take away jobs from you high pressure sales environment and they bash you with negativity when you can't save it due to appointment sales when they mislead the client..

Sales must stop misleading Customers & making SA's have to save the job because of Sales misinformation and omission of facts. Give your field employees some Home Life, you lose your best talent because you kill them with work. Quit saying you want yoemploees to work on themselves and give them the time to do it.
