I have been working with ProVal for a little more than a year now, and let me start off by saying this is exactly the job I was looking for when I applied a year ago. The company is agile and unified, the CEO is a results orientated individual with big visions for the company, there is a stress on work life balance, and the passion for what ProVal does is showcased through every employees work. That being said, if you are not a self starter, hard worker, or passionate about learning the industry, this is not the company for you. The CEO holds everyone (including himself) to high expectations and expects each and every employee to truly own their role. Critical thinking and a good work ethic is nonnegotiable, but it does not go unnoticed. In my case, this was exactly what I was looking for.

I personally do not have any cons. This job has shown me that work does not have to be unenjoyable. I could see this being a negative experience for anyone that expects to be told what to do day- in and day -out and has no desire to learn the industry/business, but this was not my experience.

When I was laid off from Disney, I was concerned that I would not be able to find a company that had a similar culture with the same kind of values. Thankfully, I found ProVal. Like Disney, the employees are kind and have a passion for what they do. There is also a focus on recognition, diversity, and giving back to the community. I really feel a part of the team, and enjoy making a difference and seeing the results of my work. I also have finally gotten to enjoy work/life balance, something that was always lacking while I worked at Disney.

I had never worked for a small business before so I wouldn't say I have run into any cons, just adjustments. I have had the opportunity to create processes to make the business standardized and more successful.

If you are in the Managed Services space, ProVal is a good place. Lots of opportunities to work with other MSP's and consulting for them. Great technical learning. Team is solid. Work is intense and challenging, but also satisfying at the same time. Good work life balance; i never had to work evenings or weekends. Company is big on core values.

Employees have to end up wearing multiple hats and stepping up to what is needed. That can be a pro or con for some people.

The company is exceptionally good at putting forth a good front and getting you to buy into the 'family' feel.
|
I leave this review as a warning to anyone looking. Stay away, hes not your friend. All of the positive reviews from Noida India in the same week are because he forced them to put in positive reviews which is against the terms of service "You may not coerce employees to leave reviews. "
There is also one positive review from the USA that I know came from a vested member of the company (gets % of profits if the company does well).
