Not a good place to work
|
Start you off as a temporary employee in a red coat, everyone who's been working there longer seems sad and tired of job and gives you funny looks. Working 4 10's doing what you do the day drags on. Nothing good to say about this place

Management sucks

People only care about being ontime with task too much overtime long hours low pay feel unappreciated and unsafe for low paying wages ! They don't value the people's work craftsman and dedication low pay

Ok place but horrible pay and almost zero training
|
Starting from day one is was evident that their was no real formal training at the company they have a training form you fill out but they don’t have someone sitting their showing you how to do your job in a safe efficient and productive manner, if you are young be prepared to be screwed over by your management they will often volunteer you to go to shipping purely based on the fact that your young if your applying her apply to chem ops it’s the only place where you actually mean something to your manager, lastly fortive is their to make money the cheapest way the can they will cut every corner they can starting with your pay if you here and on the floor expect next to nothing for you raises they can’t keep up with inflation. The only way to get paid more is to keep moving around. At then end of the day your just a number to them the gm doesn’t care to know who are and never will they switch every two years it’s a stomping ground for people ready to prove themselves and grow and move on.

Most people are friendly.
|
Wages are low for the kind of job being done. The workers handling explosive material should get paid way more than minimum or a bit above minimum. Training is good and safety is also a priority there

Sad place to work

Awful culture. They don't have a clue how to run a good shop. Don't even have a cafeteria to eat at, and you only have 30 min to eat. You have to badge in for everything you do. Sort of like a prison that pays you very little. Stay away from this place. Horrible!

Horrible management and disgusting social workplace enviornment. I was constantly blamed for the mistakes of less competent people. Poor training methods and unsafe for inexperienced workers.

Fast paced enviornment in growing company
|
Medium size company part of a larger company but with a family feel to it. There have been a lot of changes over the past few years and it is positively changing things here. Leadership is willing to listen, and they do care about employees. Benefits are really good. There are several events and activities for employees during the year, which is nice.
Most managers are very supportive and want to help. The hardest part is the pace of work is still very fast and we are still growing so anyone joining should be prepared for that. The biggest thing is making sure people feel trained. It is ok to call a time out and ask for training and help. The best part of the job is working with people who care.
You have to own your own career for advancement but it is possible, especially if you are willing to step outside of your normal job.
