It's something I've heard him repeat many times, because he really means it. There are many things that make Punchbowl a fantastic place to work (important things like genuine support of and trust in employees; fun things like summer BBQs in Punchbowl Park; etc) but what really makes this place is the team of people behind it. I am privileged to go to work every day with intelligent, kind, thoughtful individuals. They make me laugh, jump in to help me when I need it, and challenge me in the best possible way. We hold ourselves to a standard of excellence, so there are times of year (preparing for the holiday season, for example) when working at Punchbowl is demanding. But there is an enormous sense of satisfaction (and plenty of celebration) when we achieve our milestones, which always makes it worth going that extra mile. | 0.0 | 0.0 | 5.0 | 5.0 | 5.0 | 5.0 | 5.0 | 5.0 | Jan 28th, 2021 07:06PM | Mar 20th, 2021 03:56PM | Punchbowl | Household Goods | |||
private:punchbowl | https://www.indeed.com/cmp/punchbowl/reviews | Aug 10th, 2020 12:00AM | Open | Open | Open | Punchbowl | COO | Framingham, MA | USA | Awesome culture & opportunities to grow | When people ask why I've stayed at Punchbowl for a while, I always give two reasons: the team/culture and the opportunities to grow and learn. First, our team is awesome. We hire great people that are not only smart and talented, but people you want to sit and have a beer with (or maybe wine and cheese, which we did at the office for a while). We spend time during the interview process to really get to know candidates so we can ensure it's a good fit. We like to hire people who are smart, curious, and hard-working. We work hard but understand that it's important to reset and recharge the batteries when needed. And we try to build those moments into our culture as well. Whether it's pumpkin carving for Halloween or celebrating National Taco Day, or more recently trivia over Zoom, our team genuinely enjoys each other. The other reason I've stayed is because of the opportunities to grow. It's refreshing to work at a company where hard work is rewarded. Being at a small business, you get exposed to lots of different areas and will wear lots of hats. If you prefer to be in a position that is very limited in scope, Punchbowl probably isn't for you. The interview process is thorough, both for our benefit and for yours. We want to make sure it's a good fit on all sides before investing the time and effort into having anyone new join the team. You will learn just as much about us as we learn about you! | 0.0 | 0.0 | 5.0 | 5.0 | 5.0 | 5.0 | 5.0 | 5.0 | Jan 28th, 2021 07:06PM | Mar 20th, 2021 03:57PM | Punchbowl | Household Goods |
