Worst employer I have ever had. Management is more concerned about themselves and their own paychecks than they are about the employees and the corporate culture. There is no standard of accountability at this organization. Expect to get promoted only if you have children in the local schools and go to church with upper management.

bad management

My direct manager greatly lacked communication, and managements skills that hindered my employment continuation at PRF. Her explanations of expectations were very unclear. She refused to explain things better when asked while responding in an inappropriate, and unprofessional manner which making it very difficult to go to her with questions. She spoke down to me with no reason as she spoke to others in a appropriate demeanor. The position's expectations, according to HR's guidelines, weren't the same as she implied which made it difficult to understand of what was expected from me. If she had been better to work with, I would've been able to fully understand the position's expectations and we would've had a better report. Also, I would've greatly enjoyed working at PRF, and with her. Other employees who worked under her management also shared their concerns about her lacking communication skills that hindered their work progress. I suggested to HR that she be reviewed and go through a management clinic to be a better manager and communicator.

I loved the work but it became too political and hierarchical. Work load kept increasing without additional compensation. HR needs some housecleaning. I trusted that HR was a safe place to go with issues, turns out I was mistaken.

Not a good environment. People were not honest and my personal experience was someone who continued to yell at me and make a hostile environment but I was release because I went to HR. I like to job but the "management" was clicky and not honest.

my job was discontinued and I took my settlement and left. I would not recommend for anyone to work there, the COO had issues. He would go through whole departments and let everyone go.

Because the Research Foundation is tied so closely to the University, the benefits package is very significant.
There is a workout area and shower facilities on site.
However, I would recommend taking a very strong look at this potential employer before making a final decision.

all of the patents for Purdue University went thru this office, and it was incredible to see what it takes to make it happen. The staff there was so supportive, and I enjoyed being a part of the daily process-from making travel plans for them to seeing the patent process from start to finish. It was a great learning experience, and I was sad to see it come to an end!
