The dedication to the mission is very clearly evident at all levels & departments of the organization, and the company values are seen in everyone's day to day work. Due to the company's ambitious mission to make hiring predictive, efficient, and bias free, there's never a shortage of technical and business challenges to solve. This makes for an environment that encourages ownership and gives those that take opportunity plenty of responsibility & credit for their achievements. The underlying technology behind the core product is very impressive, and the product suite is constantly growing. There's a willingness to take action amongst the team to rise to the occasion, and no challenge seems unattainable. The team at pymetrics is composed of kind, impressive, and colorful people. Make sure that your data science pans out. If there was any true appetite to change or be better, they would reach out and really do something with the feedback they're receiving. This isn't Google with 100k+ employees. I think it's a great sign that we've had only about 250 employees throughout our history - many people have long tenures at pymetrics, and have dedicated 3,4,5,6+ years to the company, which indicates they are happy, learning and motivated. \n\nI'm glad that you enjoyed your coworkers - we love our team and think they are amazing too. Coming from a company with a toxic culture, I felt immediately welcomed and supported. It's clear that upper management cares about their employees, both in terms of work-life balance and ensuring that everyone's voice is heard. Being a start up, there is tons of opportunity for autonomy and growth, and everyone works hard to make the company as successful as possible. The people are incredibly smart, hard working, and fun to be around. Not exactly a con, but being a start up, it's important to be comfortable with less process and more of a figure-it-out mentality. You need to be willing to roll up your sleeves and find solutions to problems that may have never been solved before within the company. Some genuinely intelligent and caring colleagues. It's tough to really put pen to paper. Where do I start? It's interesting that the company notes they take feedback seriously on this site, but if I know this company the way I do the culture hasn't changed. Leadership claims to take feedback openly, but you're either too scared to voice out your concerns in fear of backlash (as based upon prior experiences) or if you are honest, they take no action. It's almost like you're screaming at the top of your lungs only to have those cries fall on to deaf ears. There’s also rampant favoritism. You’ll get far in this company in spite of knowledge or experience if you’re favored by the right people, namely the executive team. Especially the two at the helm. It’s debilitating working every day knowing this fact because you’re often painted into a corner to do things to maintain the status quo even if you know substantively and commercially - it’s not the best decision. Echoing everyone’s points, this company is very sales-driven. Understandably that is to be expected from a start-up. But there are absolutely no boundaries - if a sale needs to happen, the teams will do anything to close the deal without really considering the various impacts across the business. And when the deal’s closed, they leave the client teams to clean up the mess.
