A great place to introduce yourself into the field of software QA
|
QualityLogic has been a very enjoyable place for me to work over the last few years. I've been given many opportunities to learn, shine and grow as an individual and that is extended throughout the company, as I've watched many peers advance into management and lead positions. I personally started as an entry level test technician and put in the time and effort necessary to learn the skills required to be in an engineering role. It's been a lot of work but its testament to just how far you can go with this company if you apply yourself.
The nature of the job is software (and sometimes hardware) quality assurance for various clients located all over the world. This gives one the opportunity to meet many different professionals working in many different industries. A real boon if you like meeting new people and learning about new products!
In engineering, tasks vary. Sometimes it may be building various load tests, or writing automation code, or maybe even light dev work. You will work with many different code bases and you will learn about old and new technology. You will see bad code, good code and learn from industry leaders. The nature of work is only limited by what you as an individual will allow. If you go above and beyond, you will be rewarded.

Productive and fun place to thrive as a techie
|
Honestly, very surprised to find a blessing of a team to work for. Found them here on Indeed. Haven't had the feeling like I'm undervalued. On the contrary, having a good relationship between employees seems to be the reason this company is continuing to see growth. Looking forward to serving the team for as long as I'm needed.
|
Learning on the job, Remote Work, Short Breaks so Get Off Before 5 pm, fun work, great people to work with, good work-life culture, reading documents for the job that actually are relevant and mostly up to date (no one's perfect), No cheesy 90s training videos or worksheets, Feeling valued as an employee and an asset to the company overall, Steady work
|
Training can be mysterious and difficult at first, learning curve for non-tech- and tech-experienced folk alike, can be difficult to understand instructions at times, superiors may be hard to reach at times due to various meetings and calls, tasks can get tedious and repetitive some days if it's a slower workload.

Relaxed Environment, Engaging Work, Supportive Management
|
I have greatly enjoyed my time with QualityLogic.
My days generally consist of client interaction, delegating tasks, and assisting in software testing.
I came to QualityLogic with almost no prior knowledge of QA, started as a Tester, and worked up to Lead. Management was extremely supportive, and there was always someone available to answer any questions I had, be them from a Tester point of view, or a Lead.
The workplace culture is one of the best I have ever been a part of. We are all treated like people, not assets.
The hardest part of the job would likely be learning all of the processes of QA, but during that process, you are fully supported, and never made to feel ignorant or slow.
The most enjoyable part of the job is getting to work with name brands that you see in your day to day life, and seeing the work you've done make it's way to production with those companies.
Overall, I highly recommend this workplace.

You get what you put in
|
Over the handful of years that I have worked here, I have seen many people who work hard get rewarded for it. This is by far one of the reasons that I believe many people enjoy their time at this company. Having someone you respect assist you makes a huge difference. The company always promotes from within so your managers and leads understand your role completely.
You are not expected to have a perfect track record. People get sick, cars break down, alarms are not as loud as they should be. It happens. All the managers also understand that life happens.
|
Management understands that life happens and is flexible
