Good personalities. Education budget. Interesting domain.

Technically the company is awful. A lot of legacy, tons of errors, conflicting requirement, chaos in the backlog. Tech teams most of the time are fixing errors. They have 4 or 5 (yes, you read it right, 4-5) architects, but there is no help from them to the teams. They have some pink dream of replacing legacy with the brand new systems and basically that's it.
90% of developers are contractors which don't care about the quality, maintainability etc.
Processes in the company are also very immature. 10 people in a meeting is normal: 5 looking at phones and 3 discussing things which they have no idea about, facilitator and a person who will actually do stuff.
They tell they do scrum, but they don't. No velocity tracking, no standups, no estimates. Just nothing.
There are number of good professionals there, but unfortunately not enough. And also they heavily influenced by current situation.
Knowing everything from the inside I would never use or recommend Toon. Just too dangerous, because they easily can fail with that state of tech.

Make time for fixing errors and monitoring in the systems instead of dreaming about Fiona.
Get experienced scrum masters, not "coaches".

Everybody is open to talk to you and listen to your ideas. When things are not going well in the company, management is open about it, and ready to share and ask for help. Transparency is high, financial details are shared, plans are being discussed.

It's a real minus, but if one wants to write code and nothing else - it's a wrong place to work. This company expects you to take responsibility for decision making daily.
The vision of the company is not clear, it's not easy, but again - they are open about it and working on it.
Salaries are not very high

Some coworkers say that it used to be a great company to work, but not anymore.

Board is lost, they think that data science is going to save the company, but they don't pay attention on what is going on in the company.
They have a huge technical debt and they are not willing to solve that. Architects are also lost, working in a new framework that they think can change the world, but they have no idea how the current product works. They don't even have a plan how to migrate from the current situation to this "new world".
People do not practice ownership. When a problem occurs in production, it's always a fight to get someone to spend time to fix it.
Every Monday you barely seat in your chair and someone is already asking you to fix something that failed over the weekend.
Managers are also working in an isolate state, without being keen to involve themselves into problems.

Stop thinking about revolutionising the market and doing hackaton's to collect some ideas for free.
Try to spend time and money making what do we have, to make it working properly first. It is pointless to think about new features if even the basics are failing every week in production. You first clean the kitchen, then you renew the menu.

It used to be a great company to work for but not anymore.

After the new board arrived last year, every good professional at the company left: developers, architects, product owners, software engineers...
There are not enough people to develop the product so, currently, is way behind the competence and they only implement what Eneco says, no matter what.
You can be "kindly" asked to leave from one day to another you can be kindly asked to leave after mistreating you from the professional point of view (e.g: endless lack of recognition, zero career opportunities, etc)

Not certain if it was the case for everyone but for me there was little opportunity in terms of growth and development. I was eventually appointed a new manager who I never worked for/with and she didn't give me the support and guidance I needed.
