Imagine being lied to about the job in an interview, because they just needed a grunt to do work that you were doing at the beginning of your career.
Imagine someone with no experience and job history doing the work you were told you would be doing.
Imagine being kicked and pushed by your boss for daring to ask for more time on projects.
Imagine this physical assault is passed off as a joke, but the intent was clear to you.
Imagine your bully boss is then given employee of the month and promoted.
Imagine having a boss that is completely clueless about the work, but talks like a know it all.
Imagine having your co-worker stand behind your shoulder, hand over their mouth and snicker like a child at your work.
Imagine your co-worker and boss snickering in meetings whenever you talk, but no one ever calls them out for their childish behavior.
Imagine your coworker gritting their teeth and giving you the stink eye and saying “We’re doing it my way!”, when you want to discuss the project.
Imagine your coworker then gets promoted, because some gullible VP believes all the everything that your clueless boss told them.
Imagine your coworker and boss went to some diploma mill that handed out worthless degrees, have less work experience than you, but are promoted because they are in with the same gullible VP.
Imagine your promoted coworker is having relations with a another coworker and is making sure their significant other is getting the better projects because of their relationship, not they ability.
Imagine HR doing nothing about it.
Imagine being constantly blocked by people, because they are scared of what you are capable of and refuse to allow you to work on projects that you have the experience for.
Imagine your coworkers being allowed to learn new skills and being given new tools, whilst you are denied the same learning opportunity, because they are scared of what you are capable of.
Imagine the politics so bad, people will deliberately talk over you in a meeting, because they don’t want you to be heard.
Imagine "Flipping The Script” on the bullies you’ve got working there, instead of rewarding them.

If I could give negative stars I would
|
This place just isn’t even worth it. They’ve had 3 creative directors walk in a year (one of which they named employee of the year) which should speak volumes by itself. The agency is centered around LVCVA but you would never be able to tell by the work they do for the client that keeps their lights on. Leadership is extremely weak and more often than naught very petty towards other departments and even their own teams. Seen first hand, members on my team and in other departments become the sacrificial lamb when a senior member dropped the ball and didn’t want to take the blame.

Look out for the bus before you’re thrown under it
|
If there was another agency near R&R’s size in Las Vegas they would not survive. Organizationally they are in ruins and can’t quite seem to figure it out. Leadership is extremely weak, one department in particular, to where they don’t know how to develop their junior team members and will not think twice about throwing anybody under the bus. My time there was extremely frustrating as I worked for someone who clearly wasn’t educated on what she was doing but reached her position by simply being with the agency for a certain number of years. If you come from an outside agency or company be prepared to have interns turned first career position team members be prioritized above you (most likely because R&R can pay them a lot less). There are no bonuses or cost of living adjustments either. Occasionally, they’ll give you a $100 out of nowhere because they’re the “cool” agency and make you think they appreciate you. Absolutely no work/life balance. Your work will pretty much consume your free time and your weekends will be filled with last minute projects. You won’t learn much here as there’s no one worth learning from with the exception of one guy in creative. Talented people usually put their time in here and move on rather quickly. Definitely not a place to stay for your career.

Great clients and creative freedom

R&R had some issues with management that have since been remedied since I worked there. Overall it was a great agency from a creative perspective. I would work there again if given the opportunity.

Misguided After Re-Org
|
I won't go into much detail, but it's safe to say R&R has been in turmoil since a June 2017 re-org. Workflow has never been more challenging, upper management is less informed than ever, and so many people's career growth stifled because leadership just can't figure out how to modernize the agency. It's a shame because a lot of smart people are getting the short end of the stick.
