private:racepointglobal https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=822956 Mar 27th, 2021 12:00AM Open Open Racepoint Global Account Supervisor Boston, MA Great momentum & great people RPG has had great momentum in the past year. With the new president joining, it’s breathed fresh life into the agency. There’s a dedicated focus on improving work/life balance, being transparent about the health of the business and giving employees the tools they need to be successful (e.g. learning and development opportunities, leadership coffee series, peer groups and community meetings not to mention tech like laptops, media databases, reporting/listening tools, etc.). But the best thing about RPG is the people - employees want each other to succeed. There’s a real feeling of camaraderie during all-staff meetings. When we were in the office, people would regularly go for drinks after work, have lunch together or go grab coffees to take a break. It’s been different being virtual, but the RPG Life Committee has been coming up with virtual events like cooking classes and yoga to keep people connected. There’s also lots of room for growth and a clear career path at the agency. On the client side, most are B2B tech or healthcare, and range from startups to established enterprises. It gives you a chance to try different things and industries to see what you like best. Management encourages you to speak up about what interests you, and tries to make adjustments to your work when possible. While steps are being taken (e.g. partnering with Walk West/The Diversity Movement), diversity within the company needs to be improved. In addition, employees still struggle with work/life balance - it’s clear that senior management works long hours which can put pressure on others to do so as well. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 1.0 4.0 3.0 4.0 5.0 4.0 4.0 822956 Open Continue to be transparent and listen to employee feedback. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 6.0 Apr 7th, 2021 08:21PM Apr 7th, 2021 08:21PM Racepoint Global

private:racepointglobal https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=822956 Jan 8th, 2021 12:00AM Open Open Racepoint Global Boston, MA Different Place Entirely The last year has brought a great deal of change to RPG - most for the better. Former employees who stoked fires of toxicity are no longer with the company and the culture has grown stronger with collaboration and real teamwork. RPG has made big strides in addressing diversity challenges - pushing all employees to participate and learn from different DEI endeavors. Benefits are 100% the best I've ever seen at any company. Healthcare benefits are top-notch. Plenty of vacation and wellness time, week off between Christmas and New Years, and Summer Fridays. Very flexible work from home policy. The company focuses on ensuring everyone is taking care of themselves - inside and outside of RPG. Many opportunities - thanks to COVID - to interact with employees from around the globe. President who joined last year has brought renewed focus, energy, and communication. Leadership team seems more connected and less top-heavy. Lack of real face time is difficult but hopefully will be remedied in 2021. COVID has caused struggles at RPG like any other company, but RPG has responded with flexibility and grace. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 1.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 822956 Open Really focus on growth in 2021 - in this tumultuous world, we need to ensure we are growing and expanding our portfolio. 0.0 [{"countHelpful": 0, "languageId": "eng", "userJobTitle": null, "__typename": "EmployerResponse", "originalLanguageId": null, "id": 2937276, "responseDateTime": "2021-01-11T06:34:45.047", "translationMethod": null, "response": "Thank you for acknowledging the cultural growth you've experienced at Racepoint Global in 2020. With every passing year, Racepoint becomes less of a compelling place to work. Much of the talent that drew us here is gone, the management team is a C- on a good day. And there have been so many setbacks and terrible operations decision here from 2 center plaza move to a really weak president. Im not even sure its fixable anymore. Time to get the resume dusted off and in the world. private:racepointglobal https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=822956 Oct 21st, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Racepoint Global Account Supervisor Eat, sleep, work, repeat... Love my peers, tight network of coworkers. Great time off policy. Room for upward mobility. Everyone is expected to work long hours - especially in the pandemic. Sign on early, sign off late is the trend at Racepoint. In the pandemic, we're losing the "play hard" portion of work hard, play hard. President encourages everyone to be flexible, but in reality you have people sending calendar notifications that they have appointments and won't be able to sign on until 8:45 a.m. .. That's not flexible. President also says that everyone should be on only 3-4 accounts, but that's laughable. Everyone I know is on at least 5 and if any less, they're slammed with new biz work. Weekly agency calls are meant to give staff deeper visibility and transparency into the company, but in reality is just repetitive updates on stagnant new biz efforts. -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NEUTRAL 0.0 NO_OPINION 5.0 2.0 1.0 2.0 4.0 4.0 3.0 822956 Open Put your money where your mouth is. It's disappointing to learn that you experienced a disconnect on your client load, especially since we're very mindful of doing all we can to balance workload. In fact, we track the numbers closely: about 80% of our billable staff service 4 or fewer accounts. While about 20% service 5 or more, we continue to make progress on this front, acknowledging that there are occasional spikes. \n\nAs for flexibility, this is also a reinforced priority, underscored by our industry-leading PTO and holiday policies. Again, based on the data, your experience is outside of the norm. We encourage all employees to take care of themselves and to communicate their needs with their managers or make time to connect with me. private:racepointglobal https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=822956 Sep 25th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Racepoint Global Anonymous Employee Headed in a Good Direction -Great benefits - good health plan; lots of PTO and company holidays; democracy day so employees can take time to prepare for the election/vote; you get your birthday off; summer Fridays -New learning and development opportunities that were non-existent before and help make sure everyone in the agency is on the same page and motivated to grow -Company culture is stronger now than ever before, mainly because of the new CEO and finally having a VP of people position in place. RPG used to be an extremely toxic place to work and now this is beginning to improve. -Flexible work culture - WFH (pre-covid as well), encouraged not to stay online late, can schedule necessary appointments during the work day or sign off early if all your teams are in a good spot, can work on an adjusted schedule if need be -Lots of opportunities for growth - promotions are consistent and tend to happen on a yearly basis, depending on your level; employees at any level are able to get involved in new business opportunities just by raising their hand rather than having to wait to be chosen; many teams will let you try new tasks that may be slightly above your job description if you want to challenge yourself/learn -Diversity training and conversations in place -Painfully low salaries - it takes a long time to make a livable wage here and there are very few opportunities for bonuses - RPG is notoriously stingy. I empathize with the organization around this at the moment given everything going on with COVID, but I hope once we get to be in a more stable position they consider increasing salaries, especially now that we have down-sized the agency -Sometimes I wonder how certain managers made it this far in their career, as some of them often seem like they have no clue what they're doing and rely too much on junior level staff to do their work for them or cover up their mistakes. However, there are some truly amazing managers at Racepoint as well, so it just depends on who you work under -There is a serious lack of diversity at RPG and some employees, particularly at the top, seem to be very uneducated about diversity and inclusion. However, I think Racepoint is doing all they can to educate us on these issues and create an inclusive culture and are actively trying to make this a priority in their hiring process 1.0 POSITIVE 0.0 NEUTRAL 1.0 APPROVE 1.0 4.0 4.0 4.0 5.0 3.0 3.0 822956 Open Keep investing in your employees and making them feel valued in terms of actual payment and educational opportunities. The new leadership has significantly boosted morale by bringing all of the RPG offices together on a weekly call, improving our time off and benefits, and having us connect over video chat rather than the phone, all of which was very much needed, but there is still room for growth. Please improve salaries as soon as the company is in a position to do so so that people don't feel the need to leave this great place because they can't make ends meet. Also, please continue to push us to work on our professional development. Prior to this new leadership team, RPG had a tendency to stay stagnant and lacked creativity, but these L+D opportunities have been forcing us to think outside the box and have collaborative strategy sessions, which are making us a better agency. 0.0 [{"countHelpful": 0, "languageId": "eng", "userJobTitle": null, "__typename": "EmployerResponse", "originalLanguageId": null, "id": 2781810, "responseDateTime": "2020-09-28T08:16:31.77", "translationMethod": null, "response": "This review is so thorough and helpful. Our learning and development opportunities extend to every employee and one area we are focusing on is management development. I appreciate your callout on compensation.
