I learned the hard way in this place setting
Only 2 of the managers were willing to assist me with duties I was not trained in
The culture is predominantly Hispanic, to thrive within this company you will need bilingual skills
The most difficult part of this position was tracking parts down that were ordered by other people before me without all the information
The best part of the position was I was primarily left to work independently

Hard work for minimum pay, literally.
|
I was assistant supervisor of a department at Redbarn and was making literally $9.25 an hour. During most of the months, we worked Monday through Saturday. They expect you to give this job your all for minimum pay and no paid days off, no benefits whatsoever. People are on their feet all day and they are very strict about breaks and lunch times. Your break and lunch starts the moment the line stops running product. Terrible place to work and has no respect or appreciation for their staff.

Working maintenance was a great experience.
|
Personally I really enjoy troubleshooting. I had a lot of freedom to do things the way I wanted. This was mostly due to my supervisor having a great amount of experience and knowledge he was more than happy to share and always being open to ideas.
