A typical day at work, for me, consists of customer service, organising and displaying stock. Usually it's pretty smooth however some days it does get wuite busy. I learned a lot about customer service while working at the red cross, as well as merchandising and cash handling. The management was always really good, there's always something to do and everyone always knows where they're meant to be. We have a very diverse range of culture amoung our staff, ranging in age and ethnicity. I believe that the hardest part of the job is carrying boxes up 2 flights of stairs and/or trying to get through all of our donations/stock. The most enjoyable part of working at the red cross, for me, is how friendly staff and management are. I love my coworkers and we have the best donors in the world. The pay is great. You get Merritt raises and we just got another large raise. I love working for the Red Cross. In our workplace there is a strong sense of teamwork and high morale. We do our jobs knowing that we are raising money to help people in need which gives me great satisfaction. I always look forward to going in to work to face new exciting challenges.
