Come to a consensus so that the culture doesn't feel disjointed. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 1.0 Apr 10th, 2021 09:47PM Apr 10th, 2021 09:47PM Redshift Digital
private:redshiftdigital https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1376741 Mar 22nd, 2018 12:00AM Open Open Redshift Digital A smart group of designers A relatively flat and creative driven company, no account managers and multiple levels of hierarchy. High quality work for interesting clients, everyone has high standards. Well balanced teams (research, design, and engineering) all working closely together under one roof. Opportunity and autonomy. Those who excel quickly get the chance to lead projects and put their stamp on high profile client work. Long term clients and relatively healthy budgets. Redshift generally takes on solid product design and strategy projects and clients tend to be impressed by the work and want a long term relationship. Everyone is expected to wear a lot of hats and be willing to stretch out of their comfort zone. There are no specialists (brand strategists, copywriters, etc.) so everyone has to do a bit of everything. Like many small companies there is a small group who started the company who have a very unique working relationship and management style. The studio has no real whiteboards (just small portable whiteboards) and some unique ways of collaborating. Although Redshift has a solid portfolio of work and clients it struggles to raise its profile with the wider design community. Everyone is expected to wear a lot of hats and be willing to stretch out of their comfort zone. There are no specialists (brand strategists, copywriters, etc.) so everyone has to do a bit of everything. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 4.0 4.0 3.0 4.0 5.0 4.0 1376741 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 0.0 Apr 10th, 2021 09:47PM Apr 10th, 2021 09:47PM Redshift Digital

private:redshiftdigital https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1376741 Mar 19th, 2018 12:00AM Open Open Redshift Digital Senior Software Engineer San Francisco, CA Great people, quality work, wonderful environment - not perfect, but improving Wonderful people - smart, skillful, enthusiastic, dedicated to quality, kind. Wide range of projects, across a variety of industries and business scales. Truly impressive attention to quality and detail. Respect for autonomy and skill. Employees are given significant room to take real ownership of their work. Although the management has its faults, they're generally extremely open and responsive to feedback. Over my two years, the culture changed significantly for the better. The head of the engineering team is a fantastic manager and great person. The top leadership (CEO/COO, most of the team leaders) are smart, quality-oriented, well-intentioned people. Although most employees really got along, the community was not actively nurtured by management. Timing and format of feedback could be improved (and has improved). Due to scale of organization, limited opportunity for progression up the "ladder." The mood in the office can swing substantially on the basis of quantity/quality of work. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 4.0 4.0 1376741 Open Invest more heavily in "extracurricular" work community. Recognize the destructive effect of swooping in to change or criticize work at a late stage. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 2.0 Apr 10th, 2021 09:47PM Apr 10th, 2021 09:47PM Redshift Digital
private:redshiftdigital https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1376741 May 24th, 2017 12:00AM Open Open Redshift Digital Designer San Francisco, CA Great people. Poor management. Wonderful, talented people who care about improving themselves and the the people around them. Cool projects, and learn a lot about client management. Upper management sometimes seems like they're trying to improve things. Upper management refuse to listen their employees, or work on culture. They seem frustrated that they have to do so in a growing company. Turnover rate is high, and morale fluctuates constantly from low to optimistic. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NO_OPINION 0.0 2.0 5.0 1.0 3.0 3.0 1.0 1376741 Open Listen to your people and stop ignoring the problem. They complain because they want to help you improve, and want to contribute to a successful business. If you don't know how to successfully mentor and manage people, look for people who can. 0.0 [{"countHelpful": 0, "languageId": "eng", "userJobTitle": "Director of Operations", "__typename": "EmployerResponse", "originalLanguageId": null, "id": 1371079, "responseDateTime": "2017-08-30T12:28:53.357", "translationMethod": null, "response": "Thank you for the feedback and review.
