Resurection University was a Contracted Position
|
My work for Resurection University was limited to contract work with Clinical Groups studying to become registered nurses. I taught various clinical groups and lab sessions and enjoyed my work with the students. I was able to work with my brother to oversee and cover my parents who live 50 miles away from us while my Dad was with Hospice until he died peacefully at home. All the contract position work I did with schools for this year and a half to two year period allowed me to make my parents priority. They were given the support they needed, with my 82 year old mother caring for my 92 year old dying father.

Nursing staff are not respected. There is top down mentality where doctors ran the hospital and don't take into account nursing contributions. Furthermore, system process change is difficult to implement in this type of environment.
