I would'nt work for retail pro
|
Not very friendly atmosphere, low pay and the management that you cannot trust. There is no clear picture or direction where and how the company is planning to evolve the product. Everything is a big secret.

I was only here for a week
|
This was one of the more depressing places I’ve ever worked. I was here for about a week and didn’t wanna go back after that. The culture here is the worst I’ve seen. People don’t look each other in the eye as they walk by. The manager told me during my interview that he didn’t like his current staff so if I worked hard I could be the new manager over a group. It seemed kind of disloyal and harsh to tell someone interviewing. Then during the course of the work day he would walk around and criticize people for not working hard enough. It was pretty ridiculous. Anyways, don’t work here. Not worth it.

The job was good until they brought in a new VP of development. Guy makes empty promises, conducts regular "witch hunts" to find who wrote code that contains a bug, and in general is a bad person to work for. I left because of him.

Not excited to go into work each day
|
Typical day is to go in, sit at the computer, work through defects, or work on new featureset. Group dynamics are such that developers tend to code in silos. Creativity is unrewarded, and management is not people-oriented. Hardest part of the job is going in, and most enjoyable is leaving at the end of the day.

Monotonous environment with decent people, mediocre organization

I worked for a boss with only 2 assistants that has shuffled through 4-5 employees over 2 years due unrealistic expectations and an impossibility to please. Co workers were cool. Hardest of the job was the boss, no questions. Lots of employee activities, great culture otherwise. Poor compensation (for my department) but great benefits structure.
