Most of the work is highly visible on the client side. You get to work with and present to senior level resources on the client side. And, for the most part, you get to work on various projects in different industry. Depending on your skill level you can move around and work in various capacity. You typically will not get that 'boxed-in' feel unless you are specialized. The cliche is true here, your career is what you may of it at RGP, if you put alot into it, you will get something back. Mindful of Culture and Value Competitive in pay compensation (not other benefits) - Limited innovative, fun and cutting edge projects - Stuck between being regional/local v national firm - Worklife balance (as expected in most consulting gigs) - Do not oversell or overpromise (client and potential employees) - Be better with D&I - Not a fan of the prove it (for years) then we'll promote career management approach. Presentation and salesmanship (even in technical roles) are more valuable here than non-consulting organizations. Many co-workers used their time unprofessionally and unproductively, wasting the client's time and money for the organization's services. RevGen is very proud of its core values, but like any system of extrinsically applied morality, the hypocrisy of the model is soon exposed, with many coworkers acting very unprofessionally while "on-the-clock" at client sites. In this case, my use of the term "unprofessional" is referring to experiences where coworkers wasted time watching non-work related videos for entertainment, spent large amounts of time having personal (and explicit) conversations with one another, etc. Otherwise, the cons are in-line with consulting in general. I love our focus on stewardship for our firm, each other and our community. Lastly, I've never enjoyed a job so much. It's more than a job - there's fulfillment and family and so much opportunity to grow and learn. I feel empowered at RevGen in ways that I never have before. With almost 20 years in the adult workforce, this is the first organization I can say that about. We're still a relatively young and growing company.
