Rev has changed a lot since I first started over five and a half years ago. It went from being small, almost mom and pop to more corporate. Corporate, not in a bad way. Our new executives have brought a sense of "fresh air" to the company. They're all excellent leaders who are incredibly honest and transparent with their entire staff, which has been appreciative during these unprecedented times. Even though it has more of a corporate office feeling, the employees are all very close and share their passion for their craft. From the designers sketching to the photographers capturing the movement to our QC inspectors checking our standards, everyone puts in their effort to ensure each product is successful.

We are a fast-growing company, which, at times, means you may have to take on more work than you signed up for. Depending on your mentality, this could be a con. For me, by taking on more projects, I have had the privilege of working with other departments I would not typically interact with.

Rev is a great fast-paced workplace that rewards employees who speak up for themselves, share their ideas and take initiative to do what they think is right.
The management team works incredibly hard and each team member is expected to care as much as they do. There are many employees at this company who are passionate about what they do which makes the work environment fun and encouraging.
Everyone is expected to wear many hats, but it can pay off because if you do a good job they give you plenty of opportunities to have ownership over projects. No time for micromanaging here.
Great work-life balance for mid-level employees. I will say that overachievers DO tend to do better at this company, simply because they enjoy doing the work. No manager expects you to work more than your 40 hours, but many people do anyway.
If you work in Marketing or Sales, there are plenty of travel opportunities during tradeshow & convention months

Sometimes there are so many things going on with such a small number of employees that communication within and between departments is often non-existent or inconsistent.
The pay is not necessarily competitive. This seems ro be a trade-off since most managers are typically flexible with work-from-home and days off.
At times there seems to be a disconnect between top-level management goals and the mindset of mid-level managers. Feels like we are sometimes working against each other or un-doing each others work because of bad communication.
There hasnt been for a while/ currently is no direct manager overseeing Sales and Customer Service department which often becomes problematic when it comes to solving issues and maintaining a threshold of acceptable CS.

Creating a solid trickle-down communication plan will help to ensure that all employees know what is expected of them and why. I have already seen this improve and I hope it continues to get better. Frequent, short team meetings could do a world of good in getting each department on the same team.

The employees that work at Revolution are the best! I've never worked with a more passionate group of people than this group. A recent change in senior executives has provided a refreshing change for Revolution and has refocused the company on the culture, employees, customers and design. The office is culturally great to be a part of as well. It's a fun place to work and is definitely not the traditional, formal office where you come in and "punch the clock." There are many events and we have a really good package of benefits. I like smaller work environments and this one is great and has a nice sense of community!

As mentioned above things are improving under the new executives but I feel like I have been under-utilized since I have started working here. I have many skills and abilities and am able to help contribute far more than what I am being used for currently. Hopefully the new direction the company is taking will help change this.

The company looks out for the employees when they are in need. They offer great plan for the 401K plan by matching the employees contribution.
|
Pay schedule a little off. There is no opportunity to move up in the company or to be promoted. They really need to change the policy of time off with no pay. I feel you should be able to have a certain amount of time with no pay as long as its not made a habit.

Management need to learn to stick to the rules and regulations of the company. Customers should not be able do what they want and we not hold to the rules. The Customer Service Rep. try to uphold the rules but they are not backed up when they tell a customer one of the companies rules. Learn to back the customer service reps and support them.
