Not an honest company, in it for the money

Most people there were good folks just trying to earn they're living, help each other out and give service to the public for those who were advisers.
|
Unfortunately, the company structure promotes a high sales atmosphere which tries to get parents and students to sign up for a service, which their sales representatives know ahead of time, that they often won't benefit from. To clarify, many parents come into the situation making to much money for their student to qualify for financial aid, after speaking with them, the sales reps will try to get them to sign up for 4 years of services anyway; this is a standard expectation set by management. Secondly, as an employee, I often came across a parent that was in a very bad place financially, unable to pay their bills, in debt and the reps would still try to sell them the highest package for 4 years of service, costing hundreds of dollars, instead of offering of lower one to help them out in their immediate financial crisis. Lastly, I have to agree with many of the other reviews that I have read, the management is very disconnected from their employees experiences, and seem to be more of a gang where they experience all of the benefits making their subordinates feel very second class and unappreciated.

Show that you are good managers by promoting integrity to your employees thru ethical sales practices that don't take advantage of people.
Include your subordinates more in your pow wows and tell them that they are valuable; it isn't enough to bring in food from time to time if they are feeling undervalued.
Lastly, take the time to evaluate the value of your employees, if you learn to value them more from the heart, it will show and filter down to them.

The only good thing I can say about this company is that there were friendly people working there.

This company is complete scam! They trick people in to paying them to submit their FAFSA for college because they don't know that it is free. They will even people's money who can't even afford it and auto bill the customer each year with letting them know and with still take money from them even if they graduated from college.
