You wear a lot of hats - too many hats...
|
To start, the company offers very minimum PTOs, sick days, and benefits. Very disorganized place that cares only about the betterment of the company over the employees when they are trying their best in doing their job. Upper management often in disagreements and contradicting each other to cause delays that ultimately ends up being your fault. Overworked, underpaid, understaffed. If you're looking for work culture or work life balance you better look elsewhere.

It's a job with a paycheck.
|
Worst company to work for. Over works and under invests in good employees. RBH is horrible with employee relations. Some top management are a very mean and ungrateful. Rather than helping employees they are degraded. Time is wasted with meaningless forms and management is not able to contribute to the daily work load of employees. Rather than pulling the team together to solve issues fingers are pointed at others and they push blame onto others.

They have free grapes, chex mix, and other snacks. When you are poor like me, that stuff really helps.

A lot. The Manager in the warehouse and was in the military and he basically treats me like a non person. When I went in to ask him something about my timecard, he did not even acknowledge me. I know he heard me, but he did not acknowledge me. When I tried to talk to him later about the disrespect (b/c the agency would not back me up), he just started yelling. It makes for a hostile working environment and I think the other employees are afraid of him.

Take a hard look about who you are hiring to manage your precious luggage and product. The warehouse is horrifyingly small. There is no communication between the upper management and the warehouse, and from what I have observed, they talk down to the people in the warehouse. There is no equality or equal footing and virtually NO COMMUNICATION between departments. The warehouse is overworked, and the upper management wants to put no money into changing things and forces the workers to break their backs for these companies time and time again rather than dictating to the companies what they want. (These are the stores that is selling the luggage.) The workers are overworked and everyone seems unhappy and miserable. The Manager is so verbally abusive and hostile and the Upper Management needs to do something. Until both departments get on the same page, it seems that this place is on a downward spiral and I hope not, b/c they are beautiful products.

Work/Life balance non-existent. It doesn't appear that many office employees are hired based on skill or education/experience. They're hired because they know someone at RBH. It's a never ending chain of unqualified and unprofessional people bringing in their unqualified and unprofessional friends. Severely understaffed, a total lack of decorum. Management seems to be more of a group of gossiping high school kids than professional working adults.
