Structure to learn from and smart people, but culture is non-existent

I'll start by saying I left long before Stan's awful comments. But even when I was there I didn't understand the long-tenured employees attachment to him. To me that attachment was what kept TRG from evolving into the place it could have been a long time ago.
If you want to break into Strategy, be it Brand or Digital (I still don't understand why they separate them at TRG) this is a great shop to learn the ropes of strategic thinking. You won't have to burn the midnight oil just to pick skills up from your bosses, but you will have to stay on them about moving up and getting promotions. The dept overall looks out for each other.
