Nepotism is really bad, friends who have zero managment skills and questionable technical skills were hired and put in charge, which created a management team that lacks diversity, visions, experiences. And senior engineers with many years of experiences were made to fix broken laptops. As a result, we wasted a lot of time on expensive and unfocused projects that don't end up anywhere. There is always the mentality of cutting corners to get fast results for showcasing purposes, cutting the engineering process, hacky solutions, download open source code. Resulting in a lot of tech debt and unrealistic timelines. There is no plan for promotions, doesn't matter how much you know the code or how long you work here. Friends or other people will be hired to put in charge of you. The culture is the worst I’ve ever experienced. No diversity, no promotion of independent thought and the leadership team is a “boys club without clothes.” No humility, no authenticity, political land mines and lack of leadership on all fronts. No product market fit, just a few customers and most of them unsatisfied. No strategy or clear direction. Constant pivoting which constantly leaves the organization in turmoil. Overworked people - no work/life balance.
