private:ridepal https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=968704 May 20th, 2015 12:00AM Open Open RidePal Software Engineer San Francisco, CA Purely Fantastic The core team at RidePal was great. Everyone got along very well, and there was always a ton of respect for the jobs people do. I worked under the VP of engineering in my time there, and I can honestly say that I have learned more about engineering, finance, and humanity from this person than anyone else in my life. Which made my decision to leave all the more difficult. I made a bunch of what I hope to be lifelong friends here, and I would recommend that anyone looking for a solid group of people to work with should really consider looking here. The product that is being built is very solid. Great team of product managers, followed by great designers has made the product grow to adulthood in such a short time. I honestly don't think I have seen that type of rapid growth before. The teams could have been a bit larger, but that is just the fault of them being so young. Also, this wasn't really a con for me(No kids, no large bills, etc), but they do pay quite a bit less for the same job at most other companies in the bay. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 3.0 5.0 968704 Open Maybe hire a larger support and engineering team. Especially if the plan is to keep moving at the speed you are. It definitely worked for my time there, but it would help to build more stable and tested products in the long run. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 2.0 Apr 12th, 2021 10:21PM Apr 12th, 2021 10:21PM RidePal
private:ridepal https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=968704 Mar 10th, 2015 12:00AM Open Open RidePal CEO is constantly changing the course. Most of the people working at RidePal are committed, intelligent and fun to be around. Almost everyone is willing to lend a helping hand. There are no company values. You can be told you are doing a great job and with zero warning at all they can let you go for no cause. If the CEO decides to change his course no one is secure. They give zero notice to a person earning a six figure salary. Be careful if you are invited to debrief the CEO on an account over coffee. He might just sit down and say we need to get rid of your position. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 1.0 3.0 1.0 1.0 3.0 1.0 968704 Open You need to stay focused and establish a true business plan. The company believes in waiting for leads to come in and looks down on developing a sales cycle to go after new business. Step out of the box and don't just go after the low lying fruit. It dries up. Consider the long term affects of your current sales process. If things don't change in the way in which the company drives new business, I don't think RidePal will be around much longer. 0.0 [{"countHelpful": 0, "languageId": "eng", "userJobTitle": "Marketing", "__typename": "EmployerResponse", "originalLanguageId": null, "id": 890182, "responseDateTime": "2016-04-04T15:40:53.527", "translationMethod": null, "response": "While the tech startup environment isn't for everyone, we appreciate the constructive and professional tone of this review.", "responseOriginal": null, "countNotHelpful": 0}] No No 0.0 Apr 12th, 2021 10:21PM Apr 12th, 2021 10:21PM RidePal
