Toxic culture nurtured by key leaders. Long hours. Pay ranges are significantly below market rates. Leadership sincerely does not care about their employees and will remind you to “be grateful for a job.” I personally witnessed numerous instances of retaliation and was reprimanded for attempting remediation. Be careful here and only accept the offer if you are at the peak of your career.

You must learn to give before you receive; the job market is changing and employers must become more competitive (culture, pay, benefits, work arrangements) in order to attract talent. I strongly suggest a DEI training for the partners in order to better understand and respect the culture of the American workforce.

You get to see what each department does so you can determine what exactly you want to pursue. The hours are super flexible! Everyone is so nice and welcoming.

I think there couldn’t be some more structure for the interns but it’s nice being able to help employees all the time so it’s a pro and con

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at RIESTER and could not be more grateful to have worked for a company that truly invested in me and believed in my work. Often, I hear people at their companies expressing how they do not feel "valued." I can full-heartedly say that my years spent at RIESTER I was valued across the multiple departments of the business. Whether that was being invited to join in on a brainstorm session, a quick ping to get my opinion on something, attending events and so much more.

No work/life balance. Everyone pulls their hair out due to the ridiculous expectations and sheer incompetence of senior leaders. Diversity and inclusion is simply a checked box to keep govt contracts coming in the door, not an authentic pursuit.
