They've attracted large companies to buy into what they do -Data science team was filled with l talented, smart, and hardworking individuals -The company was tiny, so you had the opportunity to see many different parts of the business -There was extremely high turnover. Over 75% of the people I worked with in the US office were no longer working there less than a year after I left. . -The CEO and President are married (they don't mention this in the interview process). In a small company, this makes it impossible to voice feedback and enact change. They both are severely lacking in management and basic people skills. They are oblivious to when they are blatantly rude to customers. They are also are not technical and have no understanding of the work their employees do. -I have never seen managers more distrustful of their employees. Their first instinct is to find someone to blame when something goes wrong. Very reactive with daily changes in priority. CEO's wife is the head of product and de-facto boss of the company. She has passion for the job but it is not backed up by a lot of skill in either the managerial soft people skills, project management or technical product knowledge so it ends up just being micro management and chaos which is hard to work around. - An absolutely awful offshore software development team. They are protected by the leadership and openly fight any upgrades to any of the systems or new technologies. Very hostile and uncooperative. - Generally a chaotic, toxic environment and a culture of making unreasonable demands and blaming the employees. Hire and fire people LIKE CRAZY, I have seen over 20 people leave in LESS THAN 6 months which is literally MORE THAN HALF of the company. The co-founders are totally non technical, and just rely on emails and other involvement in meetings to judge employees performance, there is NO TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP at all. The data scientists and engineers just try stuff and learn by trail and error, in the hard way. The company is TOTALLY CHAOTIC and HIGLY DISORGANIZED. Some people get to work on some interesting parts of the products (which is literally very few) and other people are asked to just maintain. The leadership team then thinks that those working on these projects are smart and then gets rid of the other team members. Great IoT CRE analytics software and terrific data science and development teams. It should disrupt the CRE world. Very expensive 6 or 7 figure annual SaaS solution averages over a year to close, but is well worth it and well known clients are very happy. Billion dollar potential. This would be a terrific opportunity if management could get its stuff together. Or it could fail. Leadership is weak. Sales leadership is unstable.
