A typical day at work included cold calling, working through a list, performing demos, and staff workshops, signing up churches on the digital online platform, Rightnow Media.
I learned a lot in my time there. I learned a ton about myself and grew in self-confidence, since many believed in me more than I believed in myself.
Management is fair.
The culture is incredible, they really care for their employees, and that shows with the benefits.
The hardest part of the job is the cold calling. It is the least enjoyable part.
The most enjoyable part of the job is hearing from people and church leaders who truly have benefited the most from the resource.
I was sad to leave, and really hope I have the opportunity to return one day!

Although RightNow Media has a great intention for the impact they desire to make, their approach to accomplishing that goal is underwhelming at best. The lack of understanding of how to communicate with a diverse world and the absence of attention to ideas that challenge the norm, will continue to hold this company in a familiar loop of one dimensional leadership. It's a family tree that won't fork. If you follow the regimen, you can stay above water. Present your ideas of creativity and forward thinking, and you will not be given a platform to speak.

Office closes at 12 on Friday for the sales team. Entire company gets a full week off for Christmas.

30 minute lunches. No creative space to grow or be heard. Subpar healthcare benefits.

Good 1st job post-grad if you're desperate, extremely high turnover
|
They hire new people every 2 weeks, so turnover is insanely high. I think there's maybe 15/100 sales team people who've been here for more than 2 years... everyone drops like flies.
Pay and benefits are not worth the work here, and management is just people who performed well in sales, not necessarily management material-- personality wise.
Nice people in general, but it's a glorified call center.

Promotions Dangled In Face With No Real Development
|
After working for this company for a few months, the development that was outlined in my offer letter was continually neglected. I approached management about this and more empty promises were made and missed - it became very clear to me that development was not a priority to them, though it was presented to potential hires as such. Every so often management would say an encouraging word about how you were being talked about in management meetings, but it began to feel like a morale strategy more than actual potential. People were very nice and they tried to make the environment of the call center as enjoyable as a call center can be, but I lost respect for management and wanted a more transparent environment where growth actually took place.
