Company is awesome, but failure to secure funding cost me my job.

The company is awesome to work with, positioned in a good place in the market. Unfortunate that they did not secure funding. So, I lost my job.
The work culture is awesome. Huge focus on work life balance, and healthy living. And the job I did? I enjoyed working there completely.

free monday lunch, daily healthy living activities, very close to the beach, freedom to set own working hours and style, very remote worker friendly.

none except for the fact that their inability to secure funding led to the downsizing this year.

As a cloud company, they support remote employees very highly
|
Enjoyed the company culture and technology. Was sadly pigeonholed into a role that was SMB focused while the company was preparing to make the leap to a more enterprise-oriented offering. Early adaptors had become smarter and were not willing to pay additional money for services they could now receive from the cloud vendors themselves. Meanwhile, enterprise interest was growing due to the use of multi/hybrid cloud environments which demanded a management solution much like what RightScale offers.
No sense of loyalty or commitment from the sale management resulted in constant reorganization of the team which led to lay offs of newly acquired personnel who were led to believe that they would be integral to the transition from the SMB to Enterprise sales model.
