Management is all over the place. The company only cares how much demonetized you can make for them. Communication on things is terrible. Forced to punch out for lunch even if you don’t have time to take one.

Easy work

Depending on what you were hired to do, the job can get repetitive especially in the multifamily department. Very repetitive work somewhat fast paced there. If doing gas direct program, shower heads and spray valves gets repettive as well. Lighting work can have different situations though. Unclear management structure currently. somewhat unclear direction of company as well currently. Parent company seems to chase incentives from National Grid mainly. Overall very simple job in operations side. Auditors make more money but at times struggle to collaborate with technicians/contractors to make install simple/ correct

Wish I didn't have to leave!

I found RISE Engineering a stable and enjoyable place to work.
I spent six years with RISE Engineering and would still be there if my family situation did not change causing me to move to an area where RISE does not have representation.
All jobs have their ups and downs but overall I am very glad that I came to work for RISE. Being an employee owned company makes you feel much more invested in the company. You know that the company wants you to succeed.
I was privileged to work in several different departments and had a chance to learn so much about the energy efficiency industry. When my boss would announce how much carbon emissions we removed by doing our job (one year the equivalent of 17,000 cars being taken off the road!) I got a sense of real accomplishment and pride.
The management process was simple. Do you job and get results and management left you alone. Don't get results and expect more hands-on management. Goals were clear and requests for marketing material and samples were always supplied when requested.
I felt that my boss was willing to work with me as a team to be successful.
