You feel underappreciated ESPECIALLY in customer service, ive heard the owner say he doesn’t need us he can do the job himself, long hours, you’re pressured into getting customers to purchase something even when they say they’re just looking, micromanaged, barely time off, location, terrible management (except customer service manager), constantly getting yelled at by customers because the website was never working and it is misleading, they promote you and then get rid of your position, don’t keep promises, customer service work all holidays except christmas yet the rest of the company is off + jewish holidays.

This has to be the worst company i’ve ever worked for and theres so much potential there. Please show your customer service team more gratitude and appreciation as we busted our behinds to make these sales and connections for you. Replacing great team members just because you pay them too much is not the way to go. Also, do better with who you hire i’ve witnessed bullies here.

A new e commerce team is being built and its an exciting time to be working here. There is talent all over the country being recruited for the growth.

None that I can really think of. Providing coffee for all employees in the mornings is a nice gesture. The white plains office can benefit from some interior upgrades.

I genuinely cannot recommend anything about the company as it currently stands. Things were different at the time I was hired.
|
If you are a woman and you want to be treated the same as your male coworkers, do not work here. I do not mean in small ways like the occasional offhanded comment about hot celebrities: it is explicit at all times that you are different and do not deserve respect the way your male coworkers do.

Do not place people into roles where they directly interact with female employees if they do not believe females are equivalent to males. Women can not be confident their careers are in a good place if the highest levels of decision-making are done by men who can not interact with women on a professional level the same way they do with their male coworkers.

I got to work with a few (emphasis on the word few), great people.
|
I worked in their White Plains office which was a disaster. It was constantly flooding and smelled like the dumpster sitting right outside of it.
As far as management goes, they micromanage everything. The former CEO was involved in the smallest decisions that were made at the customer level - I've never contacted a call center where the CEO had to approve anything. It's just poor business etiquette. Also, only a portion of the company would observe every single Jewish holiday and those employees would have off. The remainder of employees would still have to work those holidays and also work on Thanksgiving, Easter, New Years Day, so on and so forth. Doesn't sound fair to me. Also, the obvious sexism was horrific.
While I would like to give Ritani a great review considering the great product they put out, I just can't, considering how backward they are in the way they do business.
Somehow they get pretty outstanding people to work for them and when they try to do their jobs, they won't let them. They also keep toxic employees around far too long and let them get away with far too much.
If you want to grow in a company that values work-life balance and equality in the workplace, this is not the place for you.
