Don't expect to get paid on time

The job is like any other kitchen job. The thing that stands out the most is the inconsistency of getting paid. Working here you had your fingers crossed for your pay check not to bounce. If you like a rude, arrogrant, self centered, me first type of of owner then this place is for you.

Tensions high after head chef quit when the menu was changed
|
Owner is just going to have it his way regardless if he hired someone to do the job they trained for. When the entire menu was changed the head chef was enraged and said that he would not have his name on "this garbage".

Overall A Good Experience
|
The overall leadership at Ritual is really great and generally makes for a great experience (I really loved working there for the majority of my time). Unfortunately, there are specific departments where leadership is lacking and it highly impacts the quality of life working under said departments (as it pertains to communication, transparency, and team policy). Additionally, HR department is somewhat underdeveloped and has questionable processes as a result.

Great benefits including good food, fun company events.

The "we're all good friends" atmosphere can cause a lot of issues in an intense work environment.
