Stop trying to emulate Larry Ellison’s style of cut throat management. Stop blaming the past and own the problems. There were problems you inherited but you have equally created many problems by trying to boil the ocean over night. You could have/should have taken more measured steps since Vector acquired the business and installed you at the helm. While lots of layoffs have happened at the bottom, the necessary overhaul at the top is yet to happen. The current direction undoubtedly is a path to failure because it takes tremendous amount of time and engineering resources to transform the company and its current disastrous state of the new products to a state where sales team can actually sell real products, not slides or prototypes.
