A typical workday included answering phones, chats, and walk in's with their questions regarding registration, admissions, financial aid, and program information. Also included were data entry and call lists to students and prospective students. Work environment was friendly and collaborative. I knew that I had made a positive impact in the people served. ProsThe students were amazing and made me very proud. I was a Riverland Mom to many. ConsI needed to give myself breaks. I would forget some days. This was entirely my decision though. I loved being an instructor at Riverland Community College and would love to have stayed on with them, especially if they had a full-time position available. At his time, however, my life circumstances are such that I am having to relocate, so I unfortunately cannot stay with them, but I would encourage anyone looking into Riverland either from the student or employee perspective to check them out. It is part of the union contract.
