Productive work space, always something to do or help with, somewhat helpful servers, quiet and clean dining atmosphere, nice happy hour menus.

Typical day at work would be clocking into work, jotting down notes: soup of the day, drink special/dinner special of the day, as well as any other notes for servers. Then, proceeding to identify section that you'd be taking care of, making sure each table is set up properly and neatly. While waiting to be seated, a server can be busy doing side work such as polishing silverware, putting dishes away, wiping the expo line, making sure cups are in stations, refilling ice in the bar, or helping other servers by running their food/drinks to their tables. The most enjoyable part of my job are the guests who choose to dine with us. When you start to get requests from large groups or even couples who come in once a week, because they just enjoy your service, it makes coming into work worth it. I've learned how to control my emotions, take what is said to me from authority for what it is and no matter what, do my job to the best of my ability every time I come into work. I have become favored by not only guests but bartenders as well as managers when it comes to needing an extra hand of help, questions or concerns, good conversation, and sometimes just a good laugh. I genuinely care, I am extremely honest and willingly helpful, and I think that Roasted Pear saw that, appreciated it, and used it to better the work environment not only for other servers/workers, but for the guests alike.

Mostly slow pace. Stand all day and run around checking for open tables to bus. Work environment could improve. Hardest part is determining when a table will open up for a reserved group.
