The company employs over 6,000 employees in 14 countries, has 3 engineering centers, and 10 manufacturing locations, and 5 distribution centers.</p><p>We currently have an excellent opportunity for a <strong>Inventory Analyst</strong> to join our organization in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico.</p><p><br></p><p>The <strong>Inventory Analyst</strong> will be responsible for gathering and presenting data in relation to inventory management. This includes but is not limited to:</p><p>•<span style="white-space:pre;"> </span>Excess inventory reporting. Includes running reports, filtering data, working on company dispositions, tracking information, trending information, working with all appropriate individuals to reduce excess inventory and prevent excess inventory.</p><p>•<span style="white-space:pre;"> </span>Obsolete inventory reporting. Working closely with accounting to insure that the obsolescence report is accurate, properly reserved, and disposition comments are current through inventory analysis.</p><p>•<span style="white-space:pre;"> </span>Identifying SKU reduction opportunities. Work to reduce inventory of targeted items and convert to zero inventory before any new or replacement item is introduced.</p><p>•<span style="white-space:pre;"> </span>Maintain A/B/C classifications. Conduct quarterly analysis to ensure all parts are appropriately classified and that safety stock quantities are reviewed.</p><p>•<span style="white-space:pre;"> </span>Providing planning information. Each month a series of reports are run and analyzed to provide the most accurate and up to date information. This includes excess inventory and discontinued SKU inventory for depletion.</p><p>•<span style="white-space:pre;"> </span>Manage RMA and Warranty return process. Ensure all returned items are returned to inventory, disposed of, or returned to supplier for credit. This position manages purchased material. </p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Key Functions:</strong></p><ul><li>Primary Strategic Sourcing contact for BU (Business Unit) related NPI activities with functions like Sales, Engineering, Program Management, Manufacturing, Quality and BU Executive Leadership</li><li>Represent Global Sourcing in BU weekly reviews, Monthly Business Reviews and be the focal point for all BU requests for information or issue resolution </li><li>Strong collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing & PMO teams</li><li>Protagonist to drive early involvement of suppliers in the product development, DFMA related activities, Design to cost, tooling plans, risk mitigation and margin enhancement</li><li>Align with commodity managers recommendations on sourcing strategy and strategic suppliers</li></ul><ul type="disc"><li>Working with Commodity Managers and Analysts, understand Cost modeled targets and drive suppliers closer to the ideal cost and also run the CSL based consignment / VMI or Stocking plans</li><li>Float RFQs, RFIs & RFPs based on the requirement and negotiate with suppliers using Should cost models</li></ul><ul><li>Owns NPI Sourcing project plan, launch readiness checklist, timelines, ramp up plan, supplier capacity planning and Total cost of ownership</li><li>Drive Engineering to use preferred materials and exiting components to increase scale and consolidate SKUs</li><li>Take ownership to drive a successful product launch from a sourcing perspective</li><li>Coordinate PPAP Documentation from suppliers and ascertain CPk & SPC aspects before submitting to quality</li><li>Drive Make Vs Buy discussions with Manufacturing & Engineering, to conserve Capex</li><li>Present and defend the Capex requests in capex review board</li><li>Strong understanding of atleast 2 manufacturing processes: Injection molding, Die-castings, stampings, machining, extrusion & plating </li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Required Experience</strong></p><p><strong>Key Behaviors</strong></p><ul><li>Entrepreneurial mindset with a dazzling ability to drill down from high level problem statement quickly</li><li>Energetic & creative negotiator to drive supplier costs closer to ideal cost modeled targets</li><li>Challenge Status-Quo and drive for results</li><li>Collaborate with other departments especially engineering R&D, quality (factory and supplier), materials management and sales</li><li>Strong bias for action and number-based results</li></ul><p><strong>Education, Experience & Skills</strong></p><ul><li>University Degree in technical field (BSME/ BSIE/BSEE preferred) or equivalent</li><li>Master’s degree preferred</li><li>3-8 years’ experience in supply chain, including 3-5 years’ experience in sourcing</li><li>Strong manufacturing processes knowledge</li><li>Should be proficient in reading engineering drawings & be able to understand & critique GD&T aspects </li><li>Certified Six Sigma green or black belt preferred.</li><li>Project planning, estimating benefits, ROI, and timeline. Drive accountability for successfully achieving deliverables on time and within stated budget.</li><li>MS Office proficiency required; advanced Excel proficiency required. This person will be responsible for providing customers with relevant, value-added product solutions, driving growth of the business and contributing to future strategic planning and profitability objectives. Viewed as an expert in the field, this person is responsible for large, complex, high visibility, strategic, or tactically important accounts. This person can be located between the Carolinas and Maine. </p><p>The position is for a confident individual contributor, self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to deliver results.
