I worked at Robin Hood for five years as the Managing Director for the Housing and Homelessness portfolio and, overall, had a wonderful experience. The staff across the board is top notch. You cannot find a group of more talented, smart and driven individuals. Robin Hood's partnerships in the public and private sectors are incredibly strong and give the staff the platform to craft innovative and impactful interventions in the fight against poverty.

Robin Hood has gone through a lot of transitions in the last several years. This has impacted morale and created confusion at the staff level.

There is incredible talent at Robin Hood that should be further cultivated. This applies across all departments and tenure. I was surprised to read a few very negative comments included in this website about people that have been at Robin Hood for a long time and one in particular that called out the Chief Development Officer. She is incredibly competent and her staff always produces excellent work. I think the claims are misguided and completely unfair. I also had a very positive experience working with the Chief Program Officer and always found her to be very supportive of my work. I think there are other opportunities to promote from within and retain highly capable staff.

Great mission, smart employees, incredible benefits, new CEO is very inspirational however can seem slightly disconnected to staff at times. It is currently an interesting time at the organization with a lot of leadership changes, so need to see how that plays out.

The environment/atmosphere reminds me of high school with internal strife, drama and "cool kids clubs" leading to a difficult work environment.
