Hourly position was exactly what I needed
|
I only worked there briefly, paid hourly, for a few months. The position was mostly temp workers. It was clear and fair, and the salaried managers were friendly, helpful, and supportive.

Great place to work if you are an attorney
|
Nice building to go to work to every day. Convenient location. Free fruit every Wednesday is nice. No room for advancement if you are not an attorney. The company does not focus its energy on non-attorney “staff”. A lot of corporate/office politics. Not a lot of respect from the attorneys/management. They are pretty flexible when it comes to work/life balance.

Somewhat productive workplace, part-time work for me.
|
I was only a part-time person, so it was hard for me to feel like I belonged. I do not know the employees or the management well, mostly they are lawyers, and they were friendly, but not that welcoming. I found that the staff was too cliquish and that they knew I would be terminated before it happened, yet no one even wanted to say goodbye, so it felt like I was almost not there. I cannot comment on management, as I was only trained by my direct supervisor and there seemed to be tension between the contractor who hired me. I was called suddenly early in the day and told to pack up and get out. I was always on time, willing to work hard and motivated, so I do not think my performance was the reason for not having me continue. The commute was hard as it took longer to get home, sometimes over an hour and not an easy one.

A paycheck
|
Currently working in Accounting as an Accounts Payable specialist. My salary was transitioned over from when I worked in a different role. I suspect that $52k is not, and probably higher, than those working as an A/P Specialist. Seventeen vacation days a year is nice but accrued. Zero corporate culture (as staff). You are talked down to by the attorney staff, but the compensation is good.
