Great Culture

When I worked at Rocketrip, they worked hard to create a welcoming culture to everyone there. All employees were encouraged to collaborate between departments and shadow other staff to increase knowledge company wide.
|
COVID really slowed down business for us and the company had to downsize to accommodate. I'm not sure how they are doing now, but I hope it's doing well.

Great people. This company would be doing much better if the c suite went home and let the rest of the company manage the day to day.

Rocketrip is reactive to everything. You can see it right on Glassdoor with the cycles every few months of encouraging people to write positive reviews. Rocketrip just isn’t a progressive company led by progressive people. The lack of creativity from sales to product here limits innovation. Everyone who is here long enough to see the inner workings of the company either runs out the door or waits it out because it’s a comfortable job.

- A group of smart, compassionate, and creative individuals. Each person has a unique background with different technical skills and experience. Great work environment to be a "fly on the wall" and exchange ideas.
- The product is fun, exciting, and engaging. Based on the conversations that happen during meetings or even casually among coworkers, it seems like people genuinely care about our mission and the impact we have on our clients.
- There are constantly opportunities to socialize during and after work hours. Fun/meaningful slack channels, happy hours, office lunches, social responsibility events, health and wellness workshops.

- There are serious growing pains working for a startup, and Rocketrip is not an exception. Repeatedly, we are spending time dealing with short-term crises /putting out fires often as a result of miscommunication, misunderstanding, or lack of consideration between departments.
- There have been issues in the past with strategic planning. Specifically, when it comes direction, there have been misalignment issues across departments, philosophically and tactically.
- Sometimes we're not efficient or thoughtful in how we allocate time for strategic discussions, all-hands meetings, and group exercises.
