Happiness, Culture, and Collaboration
The remote culture for developers is one of the best I've ever seen. The company goes above and beyond to make each and every developer feel like family. They take care of their employees and really strive for happiness in everything they do.
The UI/UX that this company produces is world class and it makes the developer experience all the more enjoyable because you're constantly building impressive and stunning applications.
The company is always open to feedback and process improvement. No matter what level you are within the company you always have a voice to make suggestions and recommendations. That voice is always considered and never ignored.
The executive team are some of the nicest folks you'll meet. They praise employees when they go above and beyond and they always give recognition where it's deserved. They are also completely accessible and you can chat with them at any time. I especially like that it felt like they were always contributing members of the team and not just figureheads that you reported to.
The only real downside is the sometimes chaotic nature of the agency world. There is usually multiple projects in progress at any given time and you can often be asked to jump back and forth between them. With that said the company is always cognizant of burn out and they rarely ever ask for any OT

Had a hard time fitting in
I was able to learn how not to run app teams. We got to work remote. A couple of the developers were nice to work with.
Management was extremely hard to work with. Management was definitely hard to get along with, it seemed like they were all friends from their film making days that decided to create a mobile dev shop as something to pay the bills. Any time you had a problem with management it would get turned around on you. Usually you had to work double the hours just to get projects done on time. A lot of the time project had been touched by 3 - 4 developers due to high turn over so there was lots of spaghetti code. I was very discouraged by the end of my stay and was very happy to find a new job and quit. Also they don't pay your for vacation time once you leave.

Realize that the developers are your most valuable asset. If they aren't happy and your turn over is high then you might be doing something wrong.

A clash of ego's on top of covering for incompetent co-workers and managers
Learn about mobile development
Company provides some training (if they have time which is rare)
Project Managers are all egotistical, micromanaging and controlling
Poor pay since they're a "start up"
Flexible schedule does not exist
Unless you're in the "boys club" forget about being treated equally
Team environment does not exist, you're either management or a wage slave
Management is allowed to leave during the day whenever they want, work on movie sets and go to film festivals for weeks at a time while the rest of the team has to cover for their missing managers and is not allowed to get sick or take any time off without major repercussions. Seems fair, right?

Please learn to listen and compromise. Management is full of egotistical hard headed micromanaging control freaks that are unwilling to do things any other way but theirs. As a result, plan on covering for your co-workers and managers ALL the time. Plan on doing DOUBLE your work load to cover for the incompetence (did I mention double the work for half the pay?). Simple tasks will take an inordinate amount of extra time because it has to be done their way. No one cares if you did it correctly by standards you've learned throughout your years of experience, it has to be done with their minute fastidious details.
Anything that could make your job or your teams job easier and generally makes more sense in the long run for the company, is frowned upon. Your opinions on how to run a smoother, less time consuming operation mean nothing. Wake up!!! Your employees are there for you, for your company. Stop acting like their a nuisance to your "way" of doing things. Good business is not my way or the highway. Good business stems from being a complete team with a leader, not a boss. Also project managers are not an "exclusive club" and should be treated with the same disciplinary action as the rest of the company. PM's get away with murder, while the rest of us slave away to meet looming deadline that seem impossible due to the poor or completely absent management.
