Rocket Mortgage definitely cares about employees. Benefits are great! and they also offer a myriad of perks which helps you save money. Along with a ton of monetary incentives when meeting goals. The earning potential is really unlimited.
Let's talk about being a mortgage loan officer.
Training lasts about 1 month, but you keep receiving trainings throughout your career.
The job is stressful, you have goals that you are expected to meet, and if you fail 2 consecutive months, you are out...which is understandable.
Management is great! everyone is super incredibly supportive.
Unless you are really good at the job, expect to work over 12 hours a day, and on the weekends you are also required to be available if clients need you. Additionally, if you are behind with your goal, you are required to work a few hours Sat and Sun.
This is a full on commitment to your job. If you have a family,it can be extremely challenging. However, as already mentioned, if you are good at it, earnings are stellar!!!

A lot of promises that were never met.
|
Made a lot of promises at hire. Great pay, good hours, warm leads. 6 months in after tons of training and exhaustion, you get the exact opposite. You transition through 5 different phases, without knowing any information of the next phase until you get thrown into it. Hours were terrible. Leads were terrible. Pay was terrible.

Good culture, I wish my department didn't close. Rates were going up and less people were looking to refi/purchase, which decreased the need for frontline support.

Great place to start and to get your feet wet while learning sales skills and the mortgage business. Not sure if itâs a long term career with Rocket. Too many hours and be prepared to be micromanaged to the max.

I love Rocket's culture. We truly have fun on a day to day basis. I've met so many amazing people through work who have now became lifetime friends. The training is also very great. The amount of things you learn drives you to be successful.
