Couldn't be happier

I was nervous about starting a new job during a pandemic, but I could not be happier that I joined Routeware. There are a lot of reasons, but I've outlined the high-level pointers below.
* Leadership - The leadership team is strategic, experienced, and ethical. Communications are transparent, respectful, and our CEO is razor-sharp. They listen to feedback from their team and take action when needed.
* People - The team that has been assembled is very talented, intellectually curious, collaborative, motivated, and welcoming.
* Product - the product is the best on the market and getting better all the time. This is an environment of innovation.
Other positives include the stability of the industry, the overall strategic vision, and the fact that we are building something amazing, but still small enough to allow people to make an impact. We've implemented so much with such velocity, it's extremely exciting - the people here are action-oriented. This agility makes me extremely confident about the future of the company.

I haven't seen any yet. The company grew quickly and needed to update some systems, but is working through it all at warp-speed.

Best Job I've Ever Had

I have worked for different organizations of all sizes and Routeware is hands down the best company I have ever worked for. Culture is very important to me and they have delivered with a very positive experience. The management team is so supportive and approachable from the CEO on down. The business itself is headed in a very positive direction with both cutting edge technology and strategic acquisitions which will no doubt be creating more career opportunities within. The job itself and the industry is fun and constantly evolving. For the first time in a couple of decades, I enjoy work every single day.

Great product, frustrating environment

It's a small company where you can make a big impact which is great. I liked being able to directly influence the product and service to our customers. I had a good manager and everyone seems to work hard. People are friendly and helpful.

The company is stagnant as to growth. Great product but don't have the vision to get to the next level. Seems like the staff and management often is running around being reactive instead of being strategic. I saw a lot of paranoia from the top that our competitors would steal our ideas so product isn't promoted as strongly as it could be which is frustrating for a lot of people there.

The current ceo turned the compnay around when it was tanking a few year ago so I'll give him credit for that. But he's probably not the best for leading it to the next level. Most ceos who are good at turnarounds aren’t the best at growth (and vice versa) and that may be the case here which is unfortunate since, like I said above, the product is great.

Great culture, fun place to work!

Finding a company with a great culture is not always easy but Routeware has that without a doubt. I enjoy coming into work each day to tackle the next challenge as a team. Since the company has a smaller headcount, employees are able to directly contribute to the future of the business and collaborate cross-functionally. The management team is approachable and are "working" managers that do the job, not just manage.

There is a lot to accomplish with a small staff but if you enjoy an environment where employees wear many hats, Routeware is great. Efficiencies are also being put in place to prepare the company for growth.
